- 1 Egg
- 1 Onion
- 1 Green chilly
- 1 small Carrot
- Beans – 1
- Chaat masala
- Pepper
- Milk – half cup
- Bread slices
- Cheese
Cheese Bread Omelette Preparation
- Chop carrot, beans, onion and green chillies into very small pieces.
- Transfer the chopped vegetables into a bowl and add one egg into it.
- Add some chaat masala, pepper powder and salt into the bowl as per your taste and then in addition, pour half cup milk into the bowl.
- Mix until everything is well combined and then keep it aside.
- Now, heat a pan under low flame and pour some oil into the pan.
- Slightly, toast both sides of the bread.
- On one side, dip the egg mixture, add some shredded cheese, flip it and let that side of bread to cook.
- Similarly, do it for the other side of the bread also.
- Once cooking is completed, take the bread from the pan using a spatula.
- In the same way, toast other bread slices also. Thus your easy cheese bread omelette is ready.

- Combine the eggs, scallion and 1 tablespoon water in a small bowl and whisk to combine.
- Heat the butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until melted and starting to brown around the edges.
- Add the egg mixture and swirl the pan to coat the bottom. Working quickly, dip 1 slice of the bread in the eggs, then flip it and place close to one edge of the pan.
- Repeat with the remaining slice of bread, setting it across the pan from the first bread slice (near the opposite edge) so they are in a straight line with eggs all around. Season with a pinch salt.
- Continue to cook the eggs until they are completely set on the bottom, 1 to 2 minutes.
- Slide a large metal spatula under the bread slices and flip the whole omelet in one single motion.
- Put the cheese on top of the omelet, covering the bread slices.
- Using the spatula, fold one side of the omelet (but not the bread side) over the bread and cheese followed by the other side.
- Then fold in half to form a sandwich and continue to cook until the bread on the bottom is golden brown, 1 to 2 minutes.
- Flip and cook until the other side is golden brown, 1 to 2 minutes.

- In a medium bowl, whisk the eggs with a pinch of salt and pepper. Heat a large cast iron or nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the butter and swirl pan to melt butter. Pour the eggs into the skillet.
- Working quickly, dip one side of one piece of bread in the egg and then place with the top side facing outwards.
- Repeat with the second slice of bread, placing it in the other side of the pan, mirroring the first slice.

Ingredients
Bread Slices – 2
Egg – 1
Salt – a pinch
Red Chili powder – as needed
Cheese Slice – 1
Coriander leaves – few
Butter – 1/2 tsp
Green Chutney – as needed
Procedure
- Crack open a egg in a bowl, add salt, chili powder & coriander leaves into the egg and whisk it till it became frothy.
- Heat the pan, add the butter, let it melt.
- Pour the egg mixture into the pan, keep the flame in low. Take a bread slice, dip one side of the bread slice in the egg mixture on the pan slightly, flip the bread to other side and place it on the pan.
- That way, both sides of the bread have egg coating.
- Similarly place second slice of bread on other side of the pan, let it cook for a min and then gently flip the egg. Let cook the other side of the bread for a min and then flip again
- Spread the green chutney on one slice of bread and place the cheese on other slice of bread. Fold the sides of the egg omelette towards the center of bread and fold again into half.
- Remove from the place and slice into four or as you wish.
- Serve it with ketchup on the top.

CHEESE BREAD OMELETTE SANDWICH

Ingredients:
2 slices of bread (brown or white)
1 egg
½ a small onion roughly chopped
1 green chilli chopped
2 tbs fresh cilantro chopped
1 tbs vegetable oil/olive oil
salt to taste
pepper
cheddar/swiss cheese slices
Instructions
1. Whisk together in a bowl chopped onions, green chilli, cilantro, salt, pepper and egg.
2. Heat a cast iron skillet or a non-stick pan. When hot enough add the oil and pour in the egg mixture.
3. Top the omelette with the bread slices and sprinkle pepper over them.
4. Wait until you see the sides slightly browning, or you can just lift up the omelette to check. Do not over brown.
5. Turn over the omelette. Place the 2 cheese slices over it. Then close the sandwich by turning over one slice over the other as shown in the video.
6. Sprinkle more black pepper over the sandwich. Cut it into 2 triangles and enjoy it hot with some ketchup or mint chutney.

This is one of our favorite breakfast and It does not take much time to make these cheese sandwich.
Just use a good fresh loaf of bread or even a day old (either whole wheat or multi grain or oats for a healthier option).
If using homemade bread, then don’t slice the bread thickly or thinly.
Tips for making cheese Bread Omelette sandwich
- Use a cheese that melts when grilled. Basically we are looking for a crisp golden exterior with a smooth melted cheese within.
- I generally use cheddar cheese to make these sandwiches.
- You can use processed cheese or even mozzarella cheese or a mix of cheddar and mozzarella.
- Also since we do not like the taste of cheese slices, I always use a block of cheddar cheese, which I then grate and add to the bread.
- The butter has to be applied evenly and on the whole slice of the bread.
- I always use salted butter at room temperature and not melted butter.
- A generous amount of butter not only adds a lot of flavor and taste but also helps the bread slices to grill and brown evenly.
- These grilled cheese sandwich are spiced with Indian spices – roasted cumin powder, chaat masala and freshly crushed black pepper powder.
- I don’t add salt as the butter and cheese already contains salt. If using unsalted butter, then you can sprinkle some salt.
Instead of grilling the sandwiches you can also toast the sandwiches in an electric toaster or a hand held stovetop toaster.

How to make cheese bread omelette sandwich
- Spread butter on all the bread slices. Cover the whole surface with the butter. You can slice of the edges if you prefer.
- Top half of the slices with grated cheese. sprinkle 2 to 3 pinches each of roasted cumin powder, chaat masala powder and black pepper on the grated cheese in each slice.
- Cover the cheese-topped slices with the remaining buttered slices and spread butter on the top of the slices.
- In a preheated grill, place the sandwich carefully with the buttered side facing down, making sure your hands don’t touch the grill (be careful when doing this.
- If you cannot do this then just skip the above step. Instead spread butter once the cheese sandwich are grilled).
- Now spread butter on the top side which is facing you.
- grill for 2-3 minutes till the cheese sandwich are crisp and golden.
